It is so lovely here. I believe that growing up here, I didn't realize how lucky I was. The climate is so comfortable. I love being able to put on a sweater in the morning because it is slightly chilly, then the rest of the day it is perfect! On Thursday my mom and I went running, then we went to the beach, and that was wonderful. The ocean was perfect--blueish green, the islands were perfectly visible. The sky was bright blue. I had a fun picnic with my mom and her parents. I had a delicious hummus lettuce cucumber sandwich.
Friday was our family temple day. I drove down to LA with my dad's parents, and that was fun because they have very entertaining music (not to mention I enjoy talking with them). Every time I go to the LA temple, I am amazed at how incredibly gigantic it is. After a false ice cream trip, ie, we were at the ice cream place, then Nick had a sudden change of plans, we went to 50's cafe with viola diva and piano man and mom and dad and grandma and grandpa sheldon. It was fun.
Yesterday I went rollerblading instead of running, then my dad came home and asked if I could help a lady move. So, I helped the lady move. Or rather, I packed *some* of her stuff. There was a lot of stuff. I am lucky I didn't get sick because everything was dusty. In the evening we went out and took some pictures. I just have to say that my family is sooo beautiful! Then Malena and I went shopping. Today is church, of course, and it is nice to have a break from going to primary. I often feel in my calling that I am one of the soon-to-be 12-year-olds waiting to graduate from primary, getting a little too cool for all the games and songs, and really wanting to move on to the next program. But alas, they asked me to teach the same class next year too. I guess I am not turning 12 after all. Bleh. Oh well, I will do what they ask me to do to the best of my ability. And I will like it, darn it.

That sounds wonderful! I miss Ventura now, after reading that description of the beach. Even though I still live in California, I too am only just now beginning to appreciate and realize how lucky I have been to grow up here.
p.s- I sent you/your family something in the mail, or rather, I am sending it tomorrow.
p.p.s- Which do you like better, rollerblading or running?

Keep at it. When you start to love it, then they will move you.
It's been so good to have Meredith here. Thank you for being in the temple with Nick. It's a treasured moment for me. I have enjoyed the running, the geo-caching, the salads, Kohls, and especially the time talking and laughing. Thanks for coming Meredith!
So it sounds like you were in Ventura for Nick to receive his endowments? That is so neat. What a special trip...and it is always so good to see family when you live far away.
