I left work at 3pm as usual and headed to the restaurant supply store to pick up a little gadget for my cake decorating class tomorrow. As I was heading north, the sky looked very dark. "That doesn't look good," I thought as I kept driving north. Soon after that thought I entered an uninviting dark abyss. Within minutes the freeway was flooded on the edges. I could barely see in front of my car, and it was pretty frightening--but I had to keep going. It took me an hour to get to the restaurant supply store (for a 49-cent piece of equipment) and another hour to get to my apartment.
Needless to say, I am glad to be home. I am debating going back out into the weather to go to the gym and get stuff to make a chocolate pumpkin cake for tomorrow. Blast this weather!!!
